“This was an opportunity for us to give back to the community and help those less fortunate,” said club member, Drienie Prollius.

She said the club chose to deliver food parcels to the home because many of the residents do not have anyone else to turn to.

“When one thinks of those in need, you tend to think of animals or children but we forget the elderly.

“We chose Allen Park Old Age Home because many of the residents receive no help from their families,” she said.

Additionally, club members also set out to create special memories for Allen Park residents. Motorcycle rides and some light conversions were the order of the day.

“We aimed to show residents that bikers have big hearts and are actually nice people,” said Prollius.

Members of the club also paid a visit to residents living in the frail care wing at the home where additional food parcels were handed over.

Prollius said that such events are important because they bring people together.

“These types of events keep us grounded and remind us to be grateful for all the blessings that we enjoy every day,” she said.

Residents took the opportunity to take videos and photographs with the bikers.
