EMPD and Gauteng Traffic Police impound 15 unroadworthy taxis in Thembisa

Officers inspected vehicles to ensure adherence to the National Road Traffic Act.

They impounded 15 unroadworthy vehicles, including 14 Toyota Avanzas and one minibus taxi, for various offences, including operating without the required permits and being unfit for the road.

They were taken to the Kempton Park impound yard.

The EMPD has urged public transport operators and vehicle owners to ensure their vehicles are roadworthy and that all operating documents are up to date.
