What to do at the Melville Koppies: Guided tours, hikes and family activities
Explore ancient geology, enjoy birdwatching and take part in monthly guided events at the Melville Koppies, open every Sunday from 08:00 to 11:30.
There’s something for all on the Koppies.
1. Book a guided tour and explore billions of years of geological history and thousands of years of human history (072 348 0578).
2. Hike or trail-run the multiple trails with beautiful views.
3. See how many of the 185 birds you can tick off.
4. Admire the flowers, shrubs and trees with multiple bugs that co-exist.
5. Join special events: Second Sunday of the month – storytelling; last Sunday of the month – 8km guided hike.

Koppies open every Sunday morning, from 08:00 to 11:30. Adults are charged R100 per person, U18s are charged R50 person, and it is free for U5s.

Special bookings are available during the week.
Visitors can secure parking at Marks Park, Judith Road.
