Body of murdered man found in Birch Acres Mall

The unidentified man sustained several fatal stab wounds to his neck and face. His body was taken to Germiston Mortuary.

The body of a murdered man was found in Birch Acres Mall on April 7.

According to Norkem Park SAPS spokesperson, Warrant Officer Barbara-Anne Ferreira, when police officers arrived at the mall, they found an unidentified man lying on the ground.

“The deceased was stabbed multiple times in the neck and face,” she said.

The man was wearing a black tracksuit and was certified dead by paramedics on the scene.

His body was then taken to Germiston Mortuary.
“Norkem Park Police Station requests any person with information that can help identify the deceased or have any information on the murder to come forward,” said Ferreira.

“All information given by the public will remain confidential,” she said.
