Three suspects nabbed for drugs by local flying squad

The officers found three large bags of dagga with an estimated value of R40 000.

Benoni Flying Squad officers arrested three suspects on June 10.

At about 12:30, the officers were in Kempton Park.

While patrolling, they noticed a suspicious white Toyota Hilux with two occupants.

They pulled the vehicle over on the corner of High and Pomona roads and searched it.

This suspect was arrested for drug dealing in Ivory Park, near Mamtolo informal settlement.

The officers found three large bags of dagga with an estimated value of R40 000.

They immediately arrested the two suspects, aged 42 and 43.

The dagga was booked in as an exhibit, and the vehicle was impounded because of its use in the commission of a crime.

The same day, at about 17:30, the members were patrolling Ivory Park when they received information about a person selling drugs at Ext 7, Ivory Park.

On arrival at the address near Mamtolo informal settlement, the officers identified and searched the suspect.

The two suspects were arrested with bags of dagga in Kempton Park.

They immediately arrested the 29-year-old suspect after finding him in possession of six half tablets of Mandrax.
The investigation continues.

The suspects will appear in the local Magistrate’s courts on charges of dealing in and possession of drugs.
