Police urge residents to be cautious this Black Friday

As Black Friday approaches, Kempton Park SAPS is urging the community to exercise caution while shopping at malls.
Sergeant Dipuo Ditshego, spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS, warned that criminals often exploit this busy shopping period to target unsuspecting shoppers.

“Criminals may pose as store employees, offering fake discounts to deceive shoppers,” said Ditshego.
“To avoid falling victim, always make purchases directly from authorised staff inside the store.”
Residents are also advised to:• Avoid carrying large amounts of cash.
• Stay aware of their surroundings and watch for anyone who may be following them.
• Decline offers of assistance from strangers.
By staying vigilant and following these precautions, shoppers can enjoy Black Friday deals safely.
