EMPD officers recover hijacked vehicle in Kempton Park

The EMPD North Task Team officers recovered a hijacked vehicle in Kempton Park on November 25.

City spokesperson Zweli Dlamini said while officers did crime prevention duties, they received information from a tracking company about a white Toyota Fortuner hijacked in Tshwane, and the tracking device showed a location in the Kempton Park area.

Dlamini said the officers immediately responded with the aid of the co-ordinates, leading them to Atlas Road, where they found the vehicle abandoned on the side of the road.

“During inspection, the officers noticed the vehicle was stripped. No arrests were made, and the vehicle was taken to the Aeroton Police Pound for further investigation,” said Dlamini.
