Denise Hattingh: Case postponed to January 29

Hattingh’s attorney previously asked the state not to pursue charges of premeditated murder, stating that she intends to plead guilty.

Murder accused, Denise Hattingh appeared before the Kempton Park Regional Court again this afternoon, December 10.

The case against her was now postponed to January 29.

The court heard that the State was waiting for instruction from the Director of Public Prosecutions to proceed with the matter.

During her last court appearance, Hattingh’s attorney asked the state not to pursue charges of premeditated murder, stating Hattingh intends to plead guilty to killing 29-year-old Markus Greeff on May 15 at a property on West Street in Pomona.

This afternoon it was confirmed that she still intends to plead guilty to the charges against her.

Hattingh was arrested on May 16 after police issued an alert to be on the lookout for her in connection with Greeff’s murder the previous night.
