Police arrest suspects for staging kidnapping

A Soweto woman and her Mozambican accomplice have been arrested for staging her kidnapping, which was reported last week.

A ransom demand was made to her family, prompting a police investigation.

The probe led authorities to a house in Moroka, where both the woman and her alleged kidnapper were found.

Further investigation revealed that the kidnapping was a ruse, and the pair was subsequently arrested.
