Investigation leads to conviction of infrastructure vandals

The suspects were found guilty of damaging vital infrastructure, an offense that not only disrupts essential services but also endangers lives

The Norkem Park SAPS has successfully secured the conviction of two suspects found guilty of tampering with essential infrastructure.

“Both accused have been sentenced to 10 years in prison, marking a victory in the fight against infrastructure-related crimes,” said Norkem Park SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Barbara-Ann Ferreira.

Detective Sergeant Makau, from Norkem Park SAPS, was crucial in ensuring justice was served.

“Through a meticulous investigation and strong evidence presentation, the court found the suspects guilty of damaging vital infrastructure, an offense that not only disrupts essential services but also endangers lives,” said Ferreira.

Norkem Park SAPS Station Commander, Colonel MN Maunatlala, commended Sergeant Makau for his dedication and professionalism.
