SAPS arrests suspects and recover stolen trucks and goods

Benoni Flying Squad members arrested three suspects and recovered two trucks, two trailers and one vehicle between February 25 and March 1.
On February 25 at about 11:00, officers followed up information of suspected stolen goods at a mall on Republic Road, Ivory Park.
They arrested two 35-year-old suspects in a white bakkie after finding eight boxes of PEP store clothing in the vehicle.

The clothing, valued at about R40 000, was given to the lawful owner and the suspects were detained at the Ivory Park SAPS.
Officers arrested a 27-year-old for possession of crystal meth at the Mandela squatter camp in Katlehong.
In further policing, officers recovered abandoned hijacked vehicles, including a silver Polo, next to a veld on Main Reef Road, Rynsoord, reported on a Benoni case, two truck trailers on a plot on the corner Nel and Smit streets, Putfontein, reported on a Bedfordview case, and two white Shacman trucks at a truck stop on High Road, Pomona, reported on an Actonville case.
Investigations continue into all cases.
The suspects will appear in the local magistrate’s courts on charges of possession of drugs and possession of suspected stolen goods.
