Flying squad busts seven suspects and recover dagga
Benoni Flying Squad discovered dagga upon the arrest of seven suspects.
Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) members arrested seven suspects and recovered dagga between April 14 and 16.
Officers patrolling the N12 on April 14 at around 07:30 pulled over a silver Mazda 3 at the Tom Jones off-ramp.
The two occupants were immediately arrested when officers found four bags of dagga in the vehicle with an estimated value of R4 000.
The dagga was booked in as an exhibit and the vehicle was impounded.

Spokesperson Warrant Officer Grant Giblin said members also followed up information that led to flats in Longhorn Street, Akasia, on April 16. A 32-year-old was arrested when 24 individually wrapped parcels of dagga were found in a white Toyota Hilux.
The dagga with an estimated value of R100 000 was booked in as an exhibit and the Hilux was impounded.
The same day in the afternoon, three suspects were arrested for violating a court order and further charged with defeating the ends of justice and resisting arrest.
In further policing, one suspect was arrested for shoplifting at Lakeside Mall, Benoni. Investigations are ongoing and the remaining suspects will be appearing in the local magistrate’s courts facing charges of possession of and dealing in drugs and shoplifting.
