EMPD nabs five suspects in Kempton Park crime prevention operation
The suspects were linked to other cases in Norkem Park for robbery, attempted murder and more cases to follow.

EMPD Kempton Park Precinct officers arrested five suspects, aged between 25 and 40, during a crime prevention operation in Kempton Park.
The arrests followed a tip-off regarding a white VW Polo allegedly involved in a series of robberies and other serious crimes in Kempton Park and surrounding areas.
Acting on the information, officers located a vehicle matching the description and stopped it.

A search of the vehicle uncovered one firearm, four pocket knives, eight cellphones, one speed point machine, two passports and seven bank cards.

Preliminary investigations have linked the suspects to several cases in Norkem Park, including robbery and attempted murder, with further charges expected.
All five suspects were detained at Kempton Park Police Station and face charges of possession of stolen property and possession of dangerous weapons.
They are due to appear in Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court soon.
