Earlier this afternoon, June 13, another attempted robbery was foiled in Kempton Park.

According to initial reports, a vehicle escorting a truck transporting laptops was intercepted by an unknown number of suspects. Several shots were fired during the incident.

The truck driver managed to flee the scene with the cargo, avoiding capture.

Unconfirmed reports to the Kempton Express suggest that the security officers travelling in the escort vehicle were taken hostage and later dropped off at Oakmoor Train Station.
