The murder case against former Kempton Park hairdresser Denise Hattingh resumed in the Kempton Park Regional Court this morning, July 17.

A date for her plea and the start of the trial was set for September 1.

On July 9, when Hattingh was scheduled to appear before the court, she and other female prisoners were not brought to the Kempton Park Regional Court from Johannesburg Prison.

Hattingh’s attorney, Obed Lewete, confirmed that Hattingh was doing well. “We are ready for trial on any given date,” he said.
