Drugs worth R10K seized as EMPD targets dealers in Ekurhuleni

EMPD officers arrested five individuals during anti-drug operations across four townships, recovering illegal substances and cash. The suspects will be charged and brought before court.

Between June 30 and July 6, EMPD officers arrested five suspects during operations in Kwa-Thema, Tsakane, Duduza, and Thembisa.

Acting on information received about individuals selling illegal substances in the community, officers conducted targeted operations that led to the arrests.

Illegal substances worth more than R10 000 seized.

The suspects were found in possession of dagga and CAT, with the seized drugs valued at approximately R10 000.
Officers also confiscated R150 in cash during the arrests.

The suspects were taken to their respective police stations and are facing charges of possession of illegal substances. They are expected to appear in court soon.
