EMPD, Crime Intelligence arrest two for fraud, firearm offences
During the operation, officers also recovered two black blank 9mm pistols, one with three magazines and one live round of ammunition.
The EMPD’s Northern Region Task Team, working in collaboration with Gauteng Crime Intelligence and Blue Hawk Security, arrested two suspects in Tshwane on October 8 for fraud and possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
According to the EMPD, the operation was launched to track down suspects linked to a fraud case that occurred in the Norkem Park area in February and July 2025.

During the operation, officers apprehended two suspects and recovered two black blank 9mm pistols, one with a single magazine and the other with three magazines and one live round of ammunition.
The suspects, aged 26 and 39, were detained at the Norkem Park Police Station.
They are expected to appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court soon.
