A 55-year-old foreign national has been arrested in Kempton Park for bribery and failing to comply with a lawful instruction, following a brief vehicle chase by the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Community Liaison Unit.
According to the EMPD, officers were conducting law enforcement duties when they attempted to stop a blue VW Scirocco. The driver ignored the instruction to stop and sped off, prompting officers to give chase.

Upon confrontation, the man attempted to offer the officers a R200 bribe, claiming it was an apology for ignoring their instructions.
