Police arrest two suspects and recover drugs and hijacked vehicle

Officers arrested two men, seized dagga, pills, and heroin, and recovered a hijacked bakkie during weekend operations.

Benoni Flying Squad members arrested two suspects, recovered drugs and one motor vehicle between November 8 and November 9.

On November 8, at around 19:00, members followed up on information of alleged drug sales at a residence in Emangweni Section, Thembisa.

A 23-year-old suspect was arrested. Twenty-one packets of dagga and 30 schedule three pills were recovered at the premises.

On November 9, at around 18:45, members arrested a 35-year-old suspect along Bosch Street, Kempton Park. Heroine was recovered in this incident.

In further policing, a hijacked white Isuzu bakkie was recovered abandoned on Shaba Street, Mokgoba, Putfontein, in connection with an Olievenhoutbosch case.

Investigation continues in these cases.

The suspects will appear in the local magistrate’s courts facing charges of possession of and dealing in drugs.
