Kempton Regional Court denies bail in high-profile murder case
Ntshalintshali is accused of the murder of Ekurhuleni’s group divisional head for corporate and forensic audits, Mpho Mafole,
Thabani Goodwill Ntshalintshali appeared in the Kempton Park Regional Court, this morning, November 14, for his bail hearing, where his application was denied.
Ntshalintshali is accused of the murder of Ekurhuleni’s group divisional head for corporate and forensic audits, Mpho Mafole, who was killed in Kempton Park on June 30.
The State argued that the accused should not be granted bail, stating that he is unstable as he changed his residential address after being granted bail in a separate murder case.

The State further argued that he is likely to commit another offence if released, noting that the alleged murder of Mafole took place while he was already out on bail.
The defence countered that the accused has no previous convictions other than the pending murder case for which he is currently on bail.
They added that Ntshalintshali claims to have notified the investigating officer of his change of address, which he said was prompted by issues related to his employment at the time.

After hearing closing arguments from both parties, the court denied bail.
Ntshalintshali is expected to appear again on December 5, as the matter was postponed for further investigation.
