Third suspect arrested in primary school double murder case
Masondo said police are still searching for two additional suspects who are believed to be the gunmen responsible for the shooting.
Gauteng police have arrested a third suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of a school principal and an administration clerk at Inxiweni Primary School in Thembisa.
According to SAPS Gauteng spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo, the 39-year-old suspect was arrested on December 19 and is facing a charge of conspiracy to commit murder.
He is expected to appear in the Thembisa Magistrate’s Court today, December 22.

Masondo said police are still searching for two additional suspects who are believed to be the gunmen responsible for the shooting.
The double murder occurred on November 18 at approximately 16:15, when police responded to a complaint at Inxiweni Primary School.
On arrival, officers found two women lying on the ground with gunshot wounds.
Both victims were declared dead at the scene and were later identified as the school’s principal and an administration clerk.

The motive for the shooting remains unknown at this stage and investigations are ongoing.
“On November 19, police arrested a 26-year-old woman in connection with the case. The suspect, who is reportedly an employee at the school, appeared in the Thembisa Magistrate’s Court on November 21, facing a charge of murder,” said Masondo.
