EMPD raises human rights awareness in Kaalfontein informal settlement
The purpose of the campaign was to educate community members about their fundamental rights and to empower them to recognise and claim those rights.
The EMPD’s Social Crime Prevention Unit conducted a human rights awareness campaign at the Kaalfontein informal settlement in Kempton Park on March 3.
The purpose of the campaign was to educate community members about their fundamental rights and to empower them to recognise and claim those rights.
The initiative also aimed to promote a society where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, while helping to prevent human rights violations through awareness and community engagement.
During the campaign, officers distributed informational pamphlets addressing issues such as domestic violence, bullying and various forms of abuse.
