Man shot dead after alleged bumper-bash incident in Esther Park

A motorist was shot dead following a minor collision in Kempton Park on Wednesday, September 16.
According to reports, the man was involved in a minor collision with another vehicle.
It is alleged that when he attempted to take photographs of the vehicles, an argument broke out and that a firearm was produced during the confrontation.
The man was then reportedly shot in the back as he attempted to leave the scene.
He died a short distance from where the shooting took place.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting have not yet been officially confirmed.
The Kempton Express has been seeking official confirmation of the incident and related details from the police since shortly after 17:00 on September 16.
Multiple requests for comment were sent to the SAPS media teams at various levels as well as to the EMPD.
