Ekurhuleni invites public input on proposed fixed electricity tariffs
The City of Ekurhuleni will host consultation meetings from September 20–27 to engage residents on fixed electricity tariffs for 2025/ 26.
The City of Ekurhuleni has scheduled public participation meetings to consult residents on the proposed fixed electricity tariffs for the 2025/26 financial year.
Following a council resolution in August to extend the consultation period by two months, the city urges residents to attend the sessions and share their views.
The aim is to ensure that decisions on tariffs balance community needs with the city’s financial sustainability, guaranteeing a continued and reliable electricity supply.

Consultation meetings will be held as follows on September 20, at 11:00:
