Waste disposal facilities across Ekurhuleni fully operational again

Waste disposal services across Ekurhuleni are fully operational again, with the Simmer and Jack landfill in Germiston reopening alongside other key facilities following maintenance and clean-up operations.

Waste disposal facilities across the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) are again fully operational.

The Simmer and Jack landfill site in Germiston has reopened following the completion of routine maintenance work.

The Rooikraal landfill site in Boksburg has also resumed operations after similar maintenance activities.

In Brakpan, the Weltevreden landfill site is now open after the successful removal of illegal mining activities in the area.

The EMPD continues to maintain a presence at the site to ensure safety and compliance.

The Van Dyk mini dumpsite in Boksburg has also reopened following a week-long waste-clearing operation.

The city has encouraged residents to utilise the available waste disposal facilities to help curb illegal dumping and contribute to a cleaner environment.
