2. Complete the application to adopt the animal. Pay R200 (a non-refundable) deposit. You need a copy of your ID and proof of residence.

4. The adoption process may take up to seven working days to complete, and pre-homes are ONLY conducted between 10:00 and 14:00; Monday to Friday.

5. On approval of the application and pre-home inspection, the balance of the adoption fee is payable.

6. The animal will go for sterilisation as soon as there is space at the vet, after approval of the home inspection.

7. Take your fur-baby home.

This adult female Dachshund-cross can hardly wait to meet her new family.

The local society reserves the right to reject or refuse the application.

• Dog: R1 300 (includes sterilisation, micro-chip, first vaccination, first de-wormer and tag)
