Woman arrested for allegedly stabbing and killing boyfriend in Greenfields
As the investigation progresses, local residents are in shock and disbelief, grappling with the loss of life within their community.
A neighbour called local authorities to a murder scene in Esselen Park Greenfields on August 22.
A 27-year-old woman was arrested after stabbing and killing her boyfriend (38).
On arrival at the scene, officers were directed to a kitchen, where they discovered the victim in a pool of blood.

A concerned neighbour had alerted the authorities after being awakened by the victim’s cries for help.
According to the neighbour, he rushed to help the victim and immediately called for an ambulance.
However, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The neighbour said he observed upper body injuries on the victim, indicating a violent altercation.
Initial investigations revealed the suspect, the deceased’s girlfriend, had arrived from Soweto late the previous day.
Shortly after her arrival, an argument erupted between the two, leading to the fatal confrontation.

It was reported that the deceased, a taxi owner, retrieved a table knife from a kitchen drawer and even instructed his 10-year-old child to get his firearm from the safe.
The suspect allegedly seized the knife and inflicted the fatal wounds.
Authorities swiftly responded, arrested the suspect and detained her at the Tembisa Police Station.
The suspect will soon appear in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court on a charge of murder.
