Local organisation empowers youth in Thembisa

Agreement Masenya is the driving force behind the organisation’s mission to bring back a love for education.

Holofelo Ya Thuto, an organisation founded by Agreement Masenya, has significantly impacted the lives of the youth in Thembisa.

Through various programmes, the organisation empowers the youth and reignites their love for education.

According to Masenya, one of their key initiatives is enhanced access to education programmes, which aims to provide extra lessons and educational materials to hundreds of learners facing academic hardships.

One of the annual events organised by Holofelo Ya Thuto is the career expo.

“By offering additional support, Holofelo Ya Thuto ensures local learners in ekasi have the resources to succeed academically, levelling the playing field and bridging the educational gap.”

Another annual event organised by Holofelo Ya Thuto is the popular career expo.

“This event is designed for Grade Nine learners. We want to enable young individuals to explore different career paths, discover their passions, and gain valuable insights into various industries.

“The aim is to provide learners with an opportunity to connect with professionals, creating a bridge between their education and future aspirations,” said Masenya.

In recognition of academic excellence, Holofelo Ya Thuto also holds an awards ceremony to celebrate their top achievers.
