Thembisan finalist breaks barriers on talk show
Palesa Mailula's appearance on Daily Thetha not only addressed a critical issue but also became a beacon of inspiration for many, showcasing that success knows no boundaries.
Thembisa’s own Palesa Mailula took center stage on the Daily Thetha talk show on November 14, to shed light on the pressing issue of a shortage of judges in the country.
Passionate about the topic, Mailula articulated her concerns about the unemployment of qualified youths juxtaposed against the evident gap in the judicial system.
Addressing the audience, Mailula emphasised the untapped potential of young individuals who have completed their educational journeys and acquired qualifications but find themselves unemployed.

Her insights delved into the need for a more comprehensive approach to bridge the gap between qualified individuals and opportunities within the judiciary.
Despite the nerves that accompanied her appearance on the show, Mailula drew strength from the realisation that she was not just speaking for herself but representing countless young people facing similar challenges.
“Knowing that someone is looking at me as a role model elevated my confidence,” she shared.
Mailula seized the opportunity to inspire others.
“I wanted to kill the taboo that if you are from informal settlements, you won’t make it in life. It doesn’t matter where you are coming from, what matters is where you are going. Black child, your dreams are valid.”
Her words echoed a powerful message of determination, breaking down stereotypes and encouraging young individuals to pursue their dreams regardless of their background.
