Patrollers gather at census event in Ivory Park

Criminal statistics have decreased for the previous year with the assistance of the patrollers.

During a census operation, patrollers from 39 Ekurhuleni police stations gathered in Lord Khanyile Hall in Ivory Park on January 16.

The purpose of the event was to get to know all the patrollers around Ekurhuleni, to update their database, including those deployed in schools, and to get the profile of each patroller, so that the MEC office can account for their whereabouts.

Ekurhuleni District Commissioner Major General Anna Sithole encouraged the patrollers to be matriculated and appreciated their daily efforts in fighting crime together with the police.
