Curro Serengeti learner crowned Miss Eco Teen International

The students were exposed to a greater amount of environmental knowledge and awareness regarding wetlands as a variety of stakeholders addressed them.

Curro Serengeti learner Enhle Mdakane recently won the Miss Eco Teen International title.

As part of World Wetlands Day celebrations on February 2, Mdakane joined the Gauteng provincial government, the Departments of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Environment, Fisheries, Forestry, the City of Ekhuhuleni, EnviroServe and the Etwatwa Greening Team.

“That is an amazing accomplishment and it is great to learn about her support for the environment and ecosystem,” said Lara de Castro, Curro Serengeti marketer.

“Through educational performances that included drama, poetry, music, and posters, five local schools demonstrated their understanding of wetlands.”
