Jenny Venter: “I have been part of the group for about five years now. My plans for the future, for the year, I hope my business carries on doing well as we are doing now. I just hope that we continue to employ the people like we do.”
The East Rand Business Women (ERBW) held a brunch meeting in Glen Marais on March 6.
Bee Keepers’ salesperson Yvonne Bima: “This is my first time with the group; this is my first invitation. We are the Bee Keepers; it is owned by my brother, and I do the sales for him. I plan to get out there and show people what more you can do with honey. There is so much more you can do with it.”
The Kempton Express spoke to a number of the attendees to learn how long they have been with the group and what their plans are for this year and in the future.
Ursula Morais: “I have been part of the group for the last 30 years and I plan to be more active. I am not looking at retirement yet so I’m going be active and grow my business.”
Debbie van Rensburg: “I am not a member, but one of my friends invited me to join them this morning for the function. My plans for this year are to get our numbers back to what they were before Covid-19. It was a challenge to keep staff during the pandemic.”
Minnie de Villiers: “I have been doing this for 28 years. I am importing from Turkey and I used to supply two boutiques but now I only supply to private people. I have a studio at my home which I still operate but I have the experience of 28 years. My plans for the future are carry on and try to prosper. Get more clients.”
ERBW committee member Isabel Blignaut: “I have been part of the group for many years. My plans for this year are to be supportive of other businesswomen and those in business. I want to help with support and be profitable to people.”
