Tembisa Community Forum members march to the Mayor’s office
TCF member Xolani Mnisi said the community feels betrayed by how the mayor’s office neglects their community.
Tembisa Community Forum (TCF) members marched from Rabasotho Section to the mayor’s office in Germiston on February 29 to level their grievances about poor service delivery, the removal of executives and a lack of communication from the relevant departments within the mayor’s cabinet.
Among their list of demands handed to officials on the day, residents wanted improved billing. They also demanded fair billing processes for electricity and water after hefty increases.
Apart from service delivery, a memorandum was submitted outlining the grievances of the community members.
Those who attended the march said this was the second memorandum delivered after officials failed to address some elements in the first memorandum.

The petition, handed to CoE officials, called for the removal of executives in the mayor’s cabinet, including MMC for finance Nkululeko Dunga and MMC for corporate and shared services Nkosindiphile Xhakaza.
TCF member Xolani Mnisi said the community feels betrayed by how the mayor’s office neglects their community.
“The issue of service delivery has worsened in our areas. We are complaining about billing that affects many households. We are also worried about refuse collection not being done accurately.
