Local author inspires readers with his second new book

“After my first book, people who read it contacted me and told me how much they relate to the book, I realised that I need to write another."

Joseph Kutumela’s love of literature started in 2000, and at that time, he says he didn’t know any publisher or person who could guide and help him write a book and get it published.

Kutumela’s favourite author is Myles Munroe.

“There are many books by Dr Myles Munroe that I love.

“His work is just outstanding. His approach to issues of life is just different, and after reading one of his books, you will be left puzzled or astonished.

“I would describe it as a beast coming towards you and making you feel uncomfortable,” he said.

His first book, titled The Voice of Triumph, was published in 2020.

“After my first book, people who read it contacted me and told me how much they relate to the book, I realised that I need to write another,” he said.

He said that although the first book was not about relationships, he was amazed by how many people were contacting him seeking advice on their relationships.

The inspiration for his new book, Lover’s Sailing, came from the calls he received from people seeking a relationship with him.

“With this book, I hope to inspire hope and educate society that where knowledge is received, ignorance is exposed.

“Ignorance is the greatest enemy of mankind and causes people to perish. I hope to expose ignorance and impart knowledge.”

Kutumela further stated that readers must expect transformation because his books are more about answering the questions humanity has when experiencing crisis or tragedy.

“I’m currently busy with another book called God of Africa. I have copies of Lover’s Sailing with me and I can courier it anywhere in the country.

“However, I’m busy working on something with Exclusive Books and Bargain Books so that my book can be on their shelves,” he said.
