Jiyane said the event focused on honouring and celebrating Freedom Day in South Africa.

“We gathered here to celebrate freedom in style. It is a touching event by children showcasing their talents. Everyone attending had a great time.

“We are grateful for the parents who supported the initiative. Years ago, there was far less support, but with dedication and hard work, we see parents standing with us and supporting what we are trying to build.

“We thank the principal and management of the school for allocating us a space to host this prestigious event,” said Jiyane.

General leader and chairperson of drum majorettes Lebogang Ncube said she is happy about how the event was outlined.

“I am happy to see parents taking the initiative and supporting this event.

It is never easy to get assistance from the parents. We are trying to prevent the life of crime and neglecting children with talent.
