Four children die in Rabie Ridge allegedly after consuming rat poisoning

Three of the children died at the clinic, while the fourth child was referred to a nearby hospital. The young boy died on arrival.

Police in Rabie Ridge are investigating four inquest dockets after three children died at a local clinic and the fourth died in the hospital on May 5.

It is believed that the children aged between three and six were playing in a yard in Kanana Ext 4 in Rabie Ridge when they fell ill.

They were rushed to the nearest clinic.

It is unknown exactly how the children accessed the poison. Police will investigate the details of the case.
