Kempton SAPS joins hands with foundation for commemoration

The event aimed to give back to the community and regain trust.

Officers from the Kempton Park SAPS Social Crime Prevention Unit and others joined the Kitsotlhlale Foundation to embark on Youth Day celebrations to help underprivileged youth.

Kempton Park SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Dipuo Ditshego said a group of youngsters living on the streets gathered at MES Kempton Park, where the foundation’s founder gave them hot tea and bread.

Toiletries were donated to youth living in the streets.

She said there were mobile showers for the youngsters.

“Toiletries were donated. After a shower, they received clean clothes. The event aimed to give back to the community and regain trust,” said Ditshego.
