Winning this award was an emotional and unexpected moment for her.

“It means so much to me; it’s a milestone. When I found out I had won, I couldn’t believe it.
“I thought I was dreaming. I am always happy to help those in need where I possibly can,” Dinalane shared.
Despite the recognition, she continues to face significant challenges.
A major hurdle has been the lack of resources, often forcing her to sacrifice her own space and that of her children to accommodate those in need.
“I knocked on so many doors, most of which were shut in my face. The worst part is that I wasn’t even asking for money, just food, toiletries, and nappies for babies,” she explained.

She said she was grateful to the Nyatee Foundation for sponsoring her trip to Nigeria and for their ongoing support of her shelter.
“I am truly grateful. The Nyatee Foundation’s impact on helping my shelter is invaluable,” she said.
