Wednesday’s are PENSIONER DAY for licence renewals

Every Wednesday pensioners can visit ANY of the City’s Driver’s Licence Testing Centres (DLTCs) for a smoother, walk-in renewal process.

The City of Ekurhuleni has introduced a pensioner-friendly initiative by dedicating every Wednesday to assist senior citizens with renewing their driver’s licences—no online booking required.

On this day, pensioners can visit any of the City’s Driver’s Licence Testing Centres (DLTCs) for a smoother, walk-in renewal process.

According to Hamilton Ledwaba, the City’s Head of Licensing, the move aims to make essential services more accessible to elderly residents who often struggle with online booking systems.

“By setting aside a specific day exclusively for pensioners, the City is making the renewal process simpler, more accessible, and inclusive,” said Ledwaba.

The City encourages all eligible pensioners to make use of this dedicated service every Wednesday, ensuring quicker and more efficient assistance without the usual digital hurdles.

For more information or to find the nearest DLTC, pensioners can contact the City of Ekurhuleni customer service centre or visit the official website.
