A man who initially posed as an informant has confessed to being behind the Tembisa Hospital fires. He faces arson charges.

This latest development follows two separate fires at the hospital, one that damaged the Accident and Emergency Unit on April 19, and a second on April 23 affecting the Outpatient Department.
Both incidents disrupted services at the busy public hospital and prompted widespread concern from the community and provincial officials.
This is a developing story.
