Community visit brings music, joy, and treats to care centre residents

Thembalami staff members and a few residents were on their feet as soon as the music started

Dancing and laughter rang out when a team from the Arwyp Training Institute visited Thembalami Care Centre and the Max Ordman Deaf Association (MODA).

The visit took place on July 18 and included cupcakes and scarves for everyone, along with a healthy dose of fun.

Second-year Arwyp student Gugu Bophela with resident Pieter Faugust and Thembalami deputy manager Elize Raath.

The visitors spent time interacting with the residents in Thembalami’s dining hall.

As always, the Thembalami staff members and a few residents were on their feet as soon as the music hit the first note.
