Support needed to activate Birchleigh–Norkem bus route
The new route would not only benefit existing commuters but also encourage more residents to use public transport.
Refiloe Nt’sekhe, a member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature and Norkem Park resident, has called on the community to support the introduction of a new bus route linking Birchleigh and Norkem Park to Rhodesfield.
Currently, residents working in Johannesburg CBD do not have this travel option.
After discussions with MEC for Roads and Transport, Kedibone Diale, a potential solution is on the table, but its implementation depends on proof of demand.
