Residents urged to back new Norkem Park-Rhodesfield bus route

Refiloe Nt’sekhe calls on residents to sign a petition backing a new bus route linking Birchleigh and Norkem Park to Rhodesfield, improving access to Johannesburg CBD and promoting public transport usage.

Refiloe Nt’sekhe, a member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature and Norkem Park resident, has called on the community to support the introduction of a new bus route linking Birchleigh and Norkem Park to Rhodesfield.

Currently, residents working in the Johannesburg CBD do not have this travel option.

After discussions with MEC for Roads and Transport, Kedibone Diale, a potential solution is on the table, but its implementation depends on proof of demand.

Nt’sekhe encourages residents to add their names to a petition to demonstrate community support.

The new route would not only benefit existing commuters but also encourage more residents to use public transport.

Residents can make their voices heard by signing the petition to help fast-track the activation of this much-needed route by scanning the QR code included with this editorial piece.
