Widespread electricity disruption hits Kempton Park

The large-scale outage has affected multiple Kempton Park suburbs and is reportedly on Eskom’s side of the system.

Residents across large parts of Kempton Park are facing power disruptions this morning, November 11, confirmed by ward councillors Amanda Davison and Jaco Terblanche.

The outage has affected Kempton Park Ext 2–4, Allen Grove, Aston Manor, Nimron Park, Glen Marais, Birchleigh, and the Kempton Park CBD.

City of Ekurhuleni officials have confirmed that the affected areas also include Isando, the CBD, Spartan, Glen Marais, Van Riebeeck Park, and OR Tambo International Airport.

The disruption is reportedly on Eskom’s side of the system.

According to the City of Ekurhuleni, Eskom has dispatched technicians to investigate and restore power as quickly as possible.

Residents are urged to remain patient, take precautions during the outage, and report any emergencies to the relevant authorities.
