Initium Venture Solutions celebrates graduates excelling in workplace readiness programmes

Initium Venture Solutions marked the completion of its academic programmes with a graduation ceremony at the Radisson Hotel.

Initium Venture Solutions marked the end of its academic programmes with a graduation ceremony on November 22 at the Radisson Hotel and Convention Centre.

Family, friends, sponsors, facilitators, and other guests joined the graduates to celebrate their journey, dedication, and hard work.

The organisation focuses on bridging the skills gap between graduates and employers, offering programmes designed to ensure participants are employable and equipped to succeed in the workplace.

Among the standout achievers was Nokubongwa Msibi, sponsored by Exxaro Mining for the Business Administration Services, NQF 4 programme. She achieved an overall average of 97% and was recognised for her exceptional dedication.

“I faced some challenges at the start, including adapting to a new working environment while balancing exams from another course. The team and my teacher supported me, helping me build courage and grow,” Msibi said.

“I am so grateful to be a top achiever. This programme has truly made an impact on my life.”

Dibakiso Portia Mahlasela, sponsored by WASPA, excelled in Generic Management, NQF 5, with an overall average of 96%.

Mahlasela spoke of personal challenges, including caring for her sick father, who passed away during the course.

“It was challenging but pushed me to discover my strength. Being recognised as a top achiever is for my dad. I am proud of myself and the person I have become through this programme,” she said.

Tobias Lerm, a Telecommunication Network Operations, NQF 4 graduate sponsored by Barloworld, achieved an overall average of 93%. He described the course as eye-opening.

“I entered this course with limited knowledge, but the exposure and guidance from my facilitator broadened my understanding of technology and the world around the internet. I came out a different person,” Lerm shared.

Initium’s programmes span Information Technology, Transport and Logistics, Administration, and Retail, and all include soft skills and computer training to prepare well-rounded, work-ready graduates.

During the ceremony, graduates were encouraged to view education as a foundation, not a destination, and to take pride in their accomplishments while remaining open to lifelong learning.

“The future is your canvas. Don’t fear failure, it teaches resilience and improvement. Learn, unlearn, and relearn. Continue to seek knowledge, grow your careers or businesses, and aim for success,” Initium Venture Solutions director Lungile Jafri told the graduates.
