Kempton Park family desperate to find missing relative (61)

Shangase was last seen on November 27 leaving his home in Strydom Street in Birchleigh North wearing blue jeans and a beige jacket.

A Kempton Park family is urgently appealing to the community to locate 61-year-old Themba Patrick Shangase, who has been missing since November 27.

Shangase was last seen at about 13:00 leaving his home in Strydom Street in Birchleigh North.

According to his sister, Margaret Shange, Shangase is on blood pressure and cholesterol medication.

She stressed that he does not use drugs and that there were no known conflicts or triggers leading up to his disappearance.

He is known to frequent the Vusimuzi and Tembisa areas.

Shange said her brother does not own a cellphone and has not been in contact since he went missing. She added that this is the first time he has disappeared.

Shangase is described as approximately 1.65m tall, weighing around 78kg, with grey hair and brown eyes. He has an anchor tattoo on his right arm and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a beige jacket.

“We have no suspicions regarding his disappearance and we are pleading with the public to come forward with any information,” said Shange.

A missing person case has been opened at the Norkem Park Police Station.

Station spokesperson Sergeant Portia Mkhondo confirmed the case.
