The EMPD Social Crime Prevention Unit officers conducted a road safety and crime awareness campaign at Birch Acres Mall in Kempton Park on December 6.

The initiative aimed to educate shoppers, drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists on how to prevent accidents by promoting responsible behaviour, including avoiding drunk driving, wearing seatbelts and helmets, refraining from using phones while driving, obeying speed limits, and maintaining vehicles.

Officers also shared tips on staying vigilant against criminal activities and distributed informative pamphlets on road safety and crime prevention.

The campaign reinforces the importance of safe driving and community awareness, especially during the festive season.
