Cyber Saloon launches Cyber Cares charity drive to support local communities

Cyber Saloon aims to give back to the community to thank them for the support they have shown it over the years.

Cyber Saloon has launched a new charity initiative aimed at giving back to the community that has supported the business over the years.

The initiative, called Cyber Cares, will see the saloon hosting a charity drive every three months, during which it will visit underprivileged areas to help brighten lives by providing breakfast or lunch, along with food hampers, clothing, and toys.
Community donations will make these efforts possible.

Cyber Saloon manager Julius Reichel said the initiative was inspired by friends and former business owners Amy and Jared, who previously ran Kuier Plek.

“They had a drive over Christmas and got us involved. We decided to make it bigger,” said Reichel.

“We want to pull the community together and inspire others to give back. We are all going through trying times and need to unite to help each other.”

Through Cyber Cares, the saloon wants to assist multiple beneficiary groups with varied needs, depending on the donations received.

Cyber Saloon encourages the community to support the initiative by making donations at the saloon. They also plan a fundraising event for March to further support the drive.

Those wishing to get involved can assist by donating goods or helping to identify beneficiaries.

“We request everyone to help us give back. No contribution is too small,” said Reichel.

“All donations are welcome, including non-perishable food, clothes, shoes, toys, educational toys, and monetary donations, which will be used to purchase food where needed. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.”

Beneficiaries will be selected when they receive donations. The community will also be invited to suggest organisations or individuals in need during the upcoming fundraising event.

Donations can be dropped off at Cyber Saloon, 132 Monument Road, Aston Manor. For more information, contact Annelien at 061 520 5311 or Cyber Saloon at 079 720 9966.
