Last year, the Golden Oldies donated R100 000 to assist little Gracey Stanton, who was featured in this newspaper, by covering the cost of a carer for several months.
This year, they have already pledged R10 000 towards a bionic arm for young Tyra Ray, whose medical costs are estimated at around R800 000.
The association hopes to raise even more through this year’s event.
