Thembisa South SAPS hosts safety awareness talk at Nyiko Primary School
A school outreach by Thembisa South SAPS aimed to equip Nyiko Primary learners with practical safety skills and awareness.
Members of the SAPS visited Nyiko Primary School on March 16 to engage learners on safety, crime prevention and social issues.
The school talk aimed to educate learners while promoting a culture of responsibility and respect for the law from a young age.
Constable Kate Selepe from Thembisa South SAPS said the session was designed to equip learners with practical knowledge and life skills.

“Learners will gain valuable knowledge and insights on safety measures, be empowered to make informed decisions, and develop skills to protect themselves and their communities,” said Selepe.
She added that the interaction also plays an important role in strengthening relationships between law enforcement and young people.
“The engagement fosters positive relationships between SAPS and the youth, encouraging learners to consider careers in law enforcement and related fields. Ultimately, it contributes to building a safer and more responsible community.”
